How it works
Every mountain gets read at upper-mountain elevation, where the snow actually stacks up. We adjust for temperature, so cold, light snow counts deeper than heavy, wet snow.
Then we rank them. Most fresh snow rises to the top. A storm on the way moves a mountain up. Snowing right now? It gets a bump.
The #1 mountain owns the top of the page. Big number. Live mountain cam. And a board from our line that fits the day: deep days get a powder board, everything else gets an all-mountain deck built for it.

Get the signal
Sign up for storm alerts at the bottom of Snowcast. Pick your mountains: West Coast, Rockies, Northeast or anywhere. When a storm lands, you get one email straight from Signal EXP. Nothing else.
Make it your first check
Bookmark it. Better yet, put it on your home screen. On iPhone, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open the menu, then Add to Home screen. One tap and you're reading the mountains.
Snow numbers are forecast-model estimates at the upper mountain, updated all day. Check the resort's report before you drive.
