Long before snowboard shops had coffee bars, podcasts, and lifestyle brands, Darkside was building a community in the shadow of Killington. Since 1989, Darkside Snowboards has been a cornerstone of East Coast snowboard culture, evolving from a small ski shop into one of the most respected snowboard shops in the country.
By 1993, Darkside had gone all-in on snowboarding. The name itself draws inspiration from both Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon and the Dark Side of the Force from Star Wars, a fitting blend of rebellion and obsession that still defines the shop today.
These days, Darkside is much more than retail. Behind the shop sits the Dark Park, a free, fully lit outdoor feature park that runs throughout the winter and gives local riders a place to session long after the lifts stop spinning. Add in community events, product demos, film premieres, and an in-house brand that routinely sells out, and it's clear why Darkside has remained relevant for more than three decades.
